For some of us, being quarantined and pregnant has its advantages. Pregnant mamas are missing out on social regularities like baby showers and visits from family for tummy rubs, and in many cases adding "teacher" to their seldom-evaluated list of credentials. As a pregnant lady myself, I am fortunate to have a 9-5 where I am able to work from home, in lounge clothes, and not be on the road or my feet all day. This is not the case for many, including this beautiful mom who makes raising a 9 year old and working long shifts as a nurse look like a breeze. To top it off, she's 8 months pregnant and still manages to keep her beachy curls from falling to the humid air of our NJ summer. As I look down at the sweats I stole from my husband, makeup-less face, and messy bun, I am blown away by how she's rocking this quarantine (and pregnancy) like its nothing at all. It is no surprise that her session resulted in beautiful images that (to her surprise) reflect all the beauty and love I see in her relationship with her daughter. Here are a few favorites.
This session was shot in Swedesboro, NJ, post-COVID quarantine, and during a dust storm that made its way across the Atlantic to give us that beautiful sunset. Jacquelyn's dress is from Amazon, and her beachy curls are held together with Oribe texture spray.
